Nearly all of us has watched with increasing dismay of the destruction of buildings, schools, hospitals, by Russian weapons. It is an unnecessary tragedy driven by an obsession. Peoples displaced, homes lost, lives uprooted.


There is one loss unacknowledged in the blitz of news images. The destruction of green. Parks, farms, forests - nature. When the war is over, rebuilding of towns and cities will start. But how will the natural environment recover? Will there be funds for that?
