There is a phenomenal gap in understanding on the part of some individuals regarding climate change. The two phenomena (pun intended) are related but not the same. Weather is what we think of when we think of weather - rain and snow, sun and wind.

Climate is patterns. Patterns that include major and long-lasting shifts in temperature, precipitation and solar radiation.

Weather creates slippery roads and burning sands. Climate creates ice ages and deserts.
